Lessons from Indigenous Systems for Participatory Management of Groundwater Resources

Yazd Regional Water Authority organized a national webinar entitled “Lessons from Indigenous Systems for Participatory Management of Groundwater Resources” on 27 January 2021 that was attended by Iranian experts form ministry of energy and ministry of agriculture.  

On behalf of ICQHS, Majid Labbaf Khaneiki made the results of ICQHS’s researches to the audience by giving a presentation on the socio-economic structure of indigenous water management systems in relation to our modern conception of water governance. This webinar was intended to identify the social context of water resources management and local potentials for configuring a participatory groundwater management.
