The International Center on Qanats and Historic Hydraulic Structures (ICQHS) made a prominent presence by setting up a special pavilion at the first national "Sepās-e Āb" (Water Appreciation) event held at the Dowlatabad Garden in Yazd, hosting a large number of officials, experts, and the general public. This national event, which took place from September 2 to 4, 2025, provided a platform for introducing and honoring innovative projects in the field of optimal water management in the drinking, industrial, and agricultural sectors. The ICQHS took a major step in promoting the culture of sustainable water management by displaying models, traditional qanat diggers' tools, documentation of qanats registered with UNESCO, and distributing educational brochures, emphasizing the integration of traditional qanat knowledge with modern technologies to address the water scarcity crisis. Additionally, the presence of master qanat diggers (Moqannies) to answer questions from interested visitors added to the appeal of the pavilion.
