The webinar was held with the cooperation of several parties including: UNESCO Tehran Cluster Office, TU Delf university, International Center on Qanats and Historic Hydraulic Structures, Yazd Regional Water Authority, and Yazd Water Museum.
Experts from International Center on Qanats and Historic Hydraulic Structures, TU Delft University Netherlands, Yazd Regional Water Authority, University of Nizwa Oman, Radboud University Netherlands, Toronto Metropolitan University Canada, IHE Delft Institute for Water Education Netherlands, Université de Sétif Algeria, University of North Texas US, University of Kairouan Tunisia, Leiden University Netherlands, as well as Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture presented their research achievements.
The topics presented include water-related heritage, water productivity in qanats, hydro-social cycles, water in the early islamic tradition, sharing water in Yemen, water museums, social and moral aspects of water, traditional water cultures, Yazd water museum, foggaras, relational waters, aflaj of Oman, traditional mountain irrigation, and ancient water management.
