On Friday, May 16, 2025, the President of the International Center for Qanats and Historic Hydraulic Structures visited the historic Ezzabad Castle in Rostaq to inspect the progress made over the past two weeks, including the cleaning of the corridor of the water cistern inside the castle. The program also included a visit to the Ali Naqi desert cistern to assess the current problems and find solutions.
During the closing ceremony of the first workshop on participation and preservation of the historic Ezzabad Castle, which was held in the presence of Dr. Javadianzadeh, the valuable contributions of the volunteers participating in the workshop were acknowledged. This four-day event was organized in collaboration with the International Center for Qanats and Historic Hydraulic Structures to promote participatory conservation of the region’s historical heritage.
