The training course was designed according to the program of serial short training courses already set out by ICQHS for raising awareness of students and capacity building in terms of indigenous water knowledge. The course started with an introduction to the structure and activities of ICQHS by its director Mr. Ghafori and then continued with a presentation on the role of geography in formation and development of qanat as a basis for qanat civilization, given by Mr. Majid Labbaf senior expert of ICQHS.
