This meeting explored the use of indigenous knowledge for climate change adaptation. The meeting brought together prominent scholars from around the world to discuss different strategies of indigenous people to adapt to their changing environment. Drawing upon on the lessons learnt from Indigenous knowledge can help produce more effective development strategies for climate change and once again bring humans and environment into harmony and stability. This meeting was an initiative and idea of the International Centre on Qanats and Historic Hydraulic Structures (ICQHS) which was put into action in cooperation with UNESCO Tehran Cluster Office.
